Executive MBA: Does a Degree Matter?

Having an MBA degree is something that sure stands out on a résumé.  It lends credibility to almost anyone due to the academic and intellectual rigors usually associated with MBA programs.

But is an MBA really necessary for success?

MBA programs are often populated by business majors fresh out of their undergraduate institutions.  They are young, eager, and hardworking, but often lack actual business experience.

What if you are deeply entrenched in the professional world, but don’t have MBA listed on your list of accomplishments?  Does that limit your ability to grow your business?

The answer of course is NO.  You could spend a fortune and years completing an Executive MBA, but nothing substitutes for in-the-trenches, hard-won experience on the front-lines of business.
