Does entrepreneurship require an education?

Not in the traditional sense.  America and the entrepreneurial spirit are inextricably linked.  Given this connection, it is no wonder that colleges, universities, private foundations, States, and non-profit organizations have all developed curricula to provide entrepreneurship education.

Stanford University, Babson College, The Kauffman Foundation, the Nebraska Department of Education, and the Entrepreneurship Education Consortium of Northeast Ohio are just a few of the places that offer an opportunity for entrepreneurship education.

However, sometimes the best education does not come in the classroom, from a syllabus or with a diploma attached.  Learning by doing can be just as effective (or actually way MORE effective) as learning from a curriculum.  You can get connected with someone to mentor or teach you about entrepreneurship, even if you aren’t able to go back to school.
