Prosperity Consciousness: An exercise in thinking like the person you want to become…
The economy is in trouble. The stock market is in free fall. Banks are going under. Major industries are clamoring for potential bailouts by the government. Sounds cheery, doesn’t it? With the state of things in the world today it is only natural that we are affected, even if we aren’t in trouble personally.
It is difficult not to worry about gas prices (even though we have a temporary reprieve), the mounting cost of shopping at the grocery store, layoffs, and the real estate market. That is only the domestic issues that could be consuming your thoughts. With all of that swirling around in your brain, how can you imagine better times ahead?
Rather than dwelling on our current issues, use today’s adversity to find your core strength and develop a prosperity consciousness. Take the advice of Dr. Lorraine Cohen, President of Powerful Living, and “choose to see each experience as a learning and healing opportunity, one that can lead to possibilities beyond your wildest imagination.”
Don’t think like someone who is afraid to turn on the news or open the newspaper. Choose to have a positive attitude of prosperity. Choose to see each challenge as an opportunity. It is only when you are open that you can welcome true prosperity into your life.
