What Would You Do With All Those Riches?
So, you want to be rich. Lots of people want to be rich.
But why do you want to be rich?
Figuring out what drives your aspirations can actually help you get rich. When you set goals for yourself, you have motivation. On the flip side, says USA Today columnist Rhonda Abrams, “You can’t reach a goal you never set.”
Establishing the inspiration behind your quest for riches can give you the incentive to take action…
There are many possible reasons you may wish to accumulate riches, but here are just a few to consider:
- Retirement-Having enough money set aside to live the way or in the place you want without having to work.
- Education-Contributing to your children’s higher education, or for private education.
- Prestige-Displaying your success to feel good about yourself or to encourage others to work to attain a similar lifestyle.
- Security-Covering all your monthly expenses without worry, paying off or not accumulating debt.
- Freedom-Doing what you want with your time and money.
There are a lot of ways to actually go about making money, but if you don’t know why you want to be rich, you will certainly struggle to get there. Defining what’s behind your desire for riches is the easiest way to get started.
