Direct Marketing Beyond the Bottom Line

One of the best things about direct marketing is the ease of measuring the return on investment (ROI) of your campaign.  You can compare the results of campaign variations and different media to determine the best direct marketing strategy for your business.

But it’s not just about the numbers-direct marketing is about people.

Without the people, you wouldn’t have any sales.  Your success is dependent upon the relationship you develop with the people you are marketing to.  Relationship building is a key aspect of direct marketing.

“Sales come as a result of the marketer's priority of acquiring the right kind of customers and then surrounding those customers with multiple offers to convert them from one time buyers into repeat buyers,” says Ted Grigg of Direct Marketing Consulting Group, LLC.

Direct marketing doesn’t stop with the first sale.  Ongoing efforts to build a relationship with your customers will ensure they continue to do business with you on an ongoing basis.
