Making Money: Finding the Right Tool for the Job

The effect of the current economic downturn on people’s financial situations has many focused on finding new or more ways of making money.  Some are looking for new jobs, while others are seeking out entrepreneurial opportunities.

Creating or providing something of value to others will enable you to make money because people will pay you for it.  With the exponential growth of online businesses over the last decade, the Internet would seem the obvious place to get started.

However, Seth Godin - best-selling author and acclaimed marketer - claim, “Make money: not by building an Internet company, but by using the net as a tool to create value and get paid.  Use the internet as a tool, not as an end.”

By focusing on the value your product or service will offer, you can develop appropriate methods of marketing your business.  When you apply direct marketing methods using the right tools for the job – you will improve your chances of making money in the process.
