First Isn’t Always Best in a Business Building Venture

Every so often, a new idea or invention comes along that takes the market by storm.  Lots of people are then inspired to try to come up with the next great idea, believing that their success lies in the unique properties of a new idea and being the first to exploit it.

But for all the thousands of new ideas people think up, very few actually turn into successful business building ventures.

“Far more important than being the first is just the simple foundation of giving your customers good value,” says Tim Berry, president of Palo Alto software.  What matters most, “Is doing it, starting it up, getting it done.”

A business building venture bound for success is one based on a business strategy plan that gets put into action, regardless of who came up with the idea first.
