The Young Entrepreneur Overcoming Challenges
The rapid advances in technology, and specifically the Internet, have made business opportunities more abundant for people of any age.
No longer are individuals bound by age, gender, race or even experience. The Internet has made it possible for virtually anyone to become a successful entrepreneur.
An article published in Sitepoint offered some high quality advice for young entrepreneurs. Two of the most pressing pieces of advice were:
- Make good use of all of the resources available to you. Unlike a seasoned entrepreneurial veteran, you may have to rely on free advice, resources and available adults until you can make a go of it on your own.
- Be ready to handle to challenges of a business. For a young entrepreneur who is juggling school, work, volunteer and maybe athletic commitments, it can be daunting to take on a business venture, but it can be done. Prepare yourself in advance and get yourself organized.
Finally, consider that Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, was still in college when he launched the social networking site. My Yearkbook was founded by two high school students. Experience comes with DOING - getting involved in business - it doesn't automatically come with age.
