Financial Success: Making Your Money Work For You
Brian Tracy recently posted some thoughts on the website 43 Things regarding financial success. He supports the idea that many people sabotage their own financial success by telling themselves they don’t deserve it. Tracy offers a very good solution though and that’s to change your attitude about money.
Because a relationship with money is a delicate one that requires attention to detail and needs to be nurtured, Tracy gives four guidelines to improve your relationship and attitude toward money.
1. Become Skilled With Money. Because you think you are not good with money doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. Learning to use money wisely and skillfully requires discipline and time and anyone can do this.
2. Be A No-Limit Thinker. Don’t set limits on yourself or your finances for what you would like to accomplish. Overcoming mental hurdles can be more difficult than any physical obstacle.
3. Open Any Door. Money can give you options. Use it wisely and with the good intentions.
4. Money Is Neutral. The term greedy may come to mind when you think of money and accumulating wealth, but money is neither good nor bad. What you do with the money can impact lives and make changes, just because you are wealthy or want to be wealthy doesn’t make you a bad person.
Financial success may look different for you and your journey to financial prosperity may be hairy, but having a healthy relationship with money is a great first step.
