Prosperity Consciousness: Forgetting The Past
Andrea Lee of Money, Meaning and Beyond wrote an inspirational blog post about “prosperity consciousness.”
Lee noted that if you decide to nourish your mind, thinking of it as a “performance machine” instead of something to silence, you can begin to develop your mental capacity around growth and innovation.
One of Lee’s ideas is that you need your mind to forget. Whether you have bad habits, are stuck in a rut or just need to let go of a bad experience, forgetting can be a very productive reaction.
Lee points out that in order to get somewhere new, to arrive to a higher level in performance, you may need to stop carrying out certain activities or having certain thoughts and learn new ones.
For example, in order to save money, you’ll find that when you start tracking your spending and saving habits that you automatically become more aware of where your money is going. Being aware of your spending habits is a precursor for change.
Prosperity consciousness may not subsist of the same thoughts and activities for some as it does for others, but changing your thinking, and allowing those dreams of wealth and success to soar can help you get to places you could never reach before.
