Economic Prosperity In A Pinch
Recently an insightful interview with business forecaster, Richard Scase, was posted on VideoJug. The interview focuses on ensuring that your business thrives during an economic downturn rather than just surviving.
While many businesses have actually lost sight of economic prosperity and are instead focusing only on surviving during the economic downturn, Scase is adamant that financially this is a time when businesses can actually flourish.
Scase pointed out that many companies go into panic mode when things turn sour and instead of cutting unnecessary expenses opt to cut marketing and research and development efforts.
Scase offers that many CEOs have never experienced a severe recession and aren’t quite sure what to do. A recession will test a leader’s skills, provide the opportunity to look at your company’s strengths and weaknesses and provide the opportunity to analyze any existing or potential problems.
Scase states that a recession is the perfect time to look at what your business is doing, how you’re doing it, where you’re doing it and with what you’re doing it with.
Businesses that do well in tough times will be able to do extraordinarily well in up times.
So regardless of your niche or industry, when the economy affects your finances, that’s a prime opportunity to analyze what you’re doing and start doing it better.
